Hi Michael! The balloon payments around here were sold on the premise that it would be no problem to refinance when the balloon came due. In fact, that is how it was done for twenty years that I know of. If the lenders won't make the balloon loans now then it is the fat cats, not the homeowners, who should be blamed.
