Subject: Calculating text width

Hi all

If I create a label with Autosize set to .t. and the Caption set to
"Period", the width of the label is 32 pixels (Font: Tahoma, Size: 8)

However the expression
txtwidth("Period","Tahoma",8)*FontMetric(6,"Tahoma",8) returns 30.

Is there a way to more accurately calculate the width of the label ?

Thanks

Paul Newton
