The Militec-1 is very thick when first applied, so its necessary to heat
it a little, so it becomes runny. I put the disassembled parts of my
handgun in a bowl and apply heat using a blow dryer. Another method
would be to cover the assembled handgun with a black plastic back under
sunlight to heat the weapon. I believe the recommended way is to apply
the militec-1 to the handgun before a trip to the firing range, and
firing the handgun will produce enough heat to make the militec-1 runny
and act as a catalyst for the chemical reaction of bonding with the metal.
