Hi Jean! The term "assault weapon" in the old Clinton gun ban was based on things such as pistol grip or not, color of the stock - on weapons that are essentially the same otherwise as other models. In the original Clinton era ban companies would come out with new models to get around the "assault weapon" criteria and these new models were the same guns with different cosmetics. There is an internal difference between semi-auto and select fire but even that is just one or two parts. I said all alike, I didn't say all identical. -- Regards, Pete http://pete-theisen.com/ _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
