I don't think I explained myself correctly given your answer. My thought was that if they want something like MySQL 3.23 for its speed if tons faster, ok, but other than that, what would Drizzle have that MySQL5 doesn't already do? Sure it doesn't have those things, but are those things causing unnecessary overhead?
