There is high level talk via blogs about the when Silverlight will be part
of the updates.  For now it is overkill, but start of this summer it may be
offered there and IT managers can direct it as part of a planned roll out.
The NBC / Olympics 08 are going to push its capabilities.

I do a lot with images for our plant floor.  They scan a barcode and I show
them the entire document in page by page layout in a document viewer.  I
really want to either do this via silverlight or with WPF because the same
graphics engine is going to be used, getting away from the old standard of
windows since Windows 3.0.

Why keep it separate?  Well there was that EU law suit and they did learn a
lesson.

I like that fact that you can get the version for mac-safari  or firefox win
or linux, as well as IE.
