I was not prepared for this. She's had high blood pressure for years, but I didn't think this would happen at 70. I thought she'd be around another 10 years or more at least. Everyone else in her family has lived past 80. With my father dying at 62 and now her heart attack at 70 it has changed my perceptions of the longevity in our family.
