Hi foxgang
Still having problems with com dll on a windows 2003 server. It looks like
the server is not a domain controller and Im not sure if that has any
bearing. I have a VFP dll on there, put on over remote desktop. It seems to
error with access denied when called by a c# .net wrapper. I have also made
a dll that returns just a string and called that with asp (server.createob
ject) and that even fails. Iis application is set to operate as network
service and the dll and directory has had rights set to that service as all
allowed. I even set the common/microsoft shared/vfp directory to allow all
for network service. Yet it still fails with access denied 8000405. Ive
looked in dcomcnfg and the dll does not appear there. Either the real one or
the test string one. So anyone have any clues. Im off to the site tomorroe
for a meeting Tuesday so at the moment I hope its because I have not got
rights even as administrator to do things because Im using remote
connection.
Oh and its not NF because it’s a VFP dll
