Hi Leland!

It is amazing how many guys torment themselves over what they did in the war. 
They were ordered into the field by their sovereign so they are morally 
clear.

I know of no major church that outright condemned individual soldiers' 
participation. If you were a member of some little church that condemned it 
you could get a CO so that was not a problem. War is, unfortunately, war.
