I've tried to suggest options that you have lumped together with one
word.

You yourself have said people can't be free to yell "fire", so we do
agree that not *all* speech is free, just *most*.

In fact, I support free speech every bit as much as you do.

Where we disagree is on volume. Please note that all of my complaints in
this matter have included a reference to volume, because that's the
heart of it.

You say that I have it backwards, that because the volume is coming from
just a few, it's even easier to filter. I disagree. I've offered Ken's
example of how a filtered post can reach his mailbox anyway, but there's
another part: the effect of repeated lies and other propaganda on those
who, for whatever reason, don't use filters. As with advertising of any
sort, the oft-repeated message sinks in (to a persons unconscious) and
actually does influence people. We've seen this on the national scale,
and we've seen it here. How many people on such missions does it take to
be effective? Not many, it turns out.

But I'm going to drop it, Ed. I'm not getting any support (the tactics
do work!), and it's a huge time-waster. I'll stick to the VFP stuff from
now on.

Bill
