Thanks guys, I've read all there is to read about the subject. This issue is gone, because, I can put the REPLACE inside the Begin Transaction..END loop and maybe it only happened that one time, because I can't reproduce it anymore. I have some issues now, VFP7.1 in a net with Win98 as a server being used for data input and Win98 workstations. Some updates go thru and some not, for this child table inside a BTE loop. It happens now and then. I've changed the cache and the offline thing for files, so now somehow a parent table gets locked and won't insert a record. I have to use vRunFox, create a record, delete and then it works. My client promised me a Win 2000 server. I am waiting this to upgrade to VFP9.2, since I am not sure of 9 working in a Win98 setup.
