To hopefully clarify this a little....

Garretts's "Public letter to Steven Black" was never addressed to me. I am not
currently a subscriber to this list. I heard from someone else that something
had been posted here.

For some specific background, please see
   http://fox.wikis.com/wc.dll?Wiki~GarrettFitzgerald

In short, asking Garrett Fitzgerald for a little more space while editing a
brand new article in Wikipedia is, apparently, too much to ask.

Also for the record, here below (well, way below) is the complete email I sent
personally to Garrett. I've sent several emails to Garrett since Oct 22 (Monday)
and he's replied to none. Zero. It turns out that selectively posting edited
private email segments is something Garrett does.

 ===================================================================
The Gyst: "I've been pretty cool and generous with you for eight years,
Garrett. Why not be cool with me and back-off for just a little while, and let
me work on my Wikipedia article in relative peace?"

Plain and simple. Too much to ask, evidently.

It's interesting that you can create and maintain a structure that gives a guy
over Internet 60,000+ page views and the #1 Google SERP for his name and
profession and, in return, you don't even get the courtesy of a reply, or a
simple easy-get comply on a very simple request for space.

Remember: all I was asking Garrett was for some courtesy to edit a new
Wikipedia article in relative peace, free from continuous edits and unilateral
real-time concurrent section DELETIONS by him, some of the easy peace he's
been getting from me for 8 effing years.
 ====================================================================

Note the selective things that Garrett Fitzgerald omits from the "quote" that
you've seen in his "Public Letter to Steven Black" (which, in fact, was to
everyone BUT Steven Black)

(At this point in time at least two emails from me have gone without reply from
Garrett)

Subject: Lake Ontario Waterkeeper topic on Wikipedia

Garrett,

You know, looking quickly at my tallies, which might or might not be accurate,
I see that since November 1999 you've received, from me, for free (no donations,
no contacts, nothing that I can recall) -- free hosting of the
"GarrettFitzgerald" article on the FoxPro Wiki that has generated some 23,800+
page views for you, net of bots, which are about 30% of Wiki traffic and of
course convey intrinsic but incalculable benefits of their own. The
"GarrettFKBArticles" topic logs-in at 41,200+ hits since August 2001.

If I Google "Garrett Fitzgerald FoxPro" the #1 on the SERP is an entry for which
you have free control that is hosted on a website that I host and pay for. It's
impossible for me to say what this may or may not have meant in terms of
benefits for you.

It occurs to me, what am I, a complete sucker?

So... what have you done for me lately?

Answer: not very much.

In fact, the way I see it, you've gone out of your way to piss me off. You
don't return emails, you lie to me about not being online, and you have been
nearly continuously screwing with my work on Wikipedia despite me asking you
politely, then more forcefully, not to do so.

There's one born every minute, so they say. Apparently I'm "it".

I've just read what you wrote (in Wikipedia) about me knowing or not knowing who
"Sarek Of Vulcan" is. We *both* know I've know this for *years*, Garrett. So
much for you being helpful and de-cluttering communications.

Make no mistake: I have NEVER been abused online like I've been abused by that
BSF guy, you, Caren, and whoever else BSF roused from the Admin pages in his
quest to keep what I am passionate about off Wikipedia. As we both know, I have
been involved in some *classic*, even *epic* shitfights online, and this takes
the cake.

Thanks Garrett.

The topic in Question? "Lake Ontario Waterkeeper". Read the history, read the
comments. I was completely besieged starting in the first hour of its
existence, and for days afterwards. This is what Wikipedia now is.
