Focus.fll was created by www.fastwrite.com
But they stopped supporting it because they said VFP9 had so much new
functions in its standard library that mede Focus.fll obsolete.

They have completely pulled the plug, but their latest version should work
with VFP8 though.

Kernel.dll should indeed be in the applications folder.

That's it! I believe we used to put KERNEL.DLL in our application's main
folder to avoid the issue with paths?
