Michael, The latest Winamp is not resource hungry and plays just about everything Audio/Video that I throw at it. So much so, that I've upgraded from the free version to the paid version. Give the free version a try - no adware either unlike the "Real" range of products
I tried the Nero offering "Nero Media Centre" but that is just terrible - so give that a miss.
