I used the term 'fragging' as a metaphor for revolt. The real heart of it is the question "why should I go out into that Hell-hole again when it serves no purpose?". Fragging was just one (powerful) expression of this attitude, but there were others. Nowadays, things are more controlled, so I don't know if troops would or could do such a thing, but they do have the Internet as an communications and organizational tool that the brass can't control (without controlling the whole Internet, because anyone in the military who wants to get on the net without ID can do so in a variety of ways), so there is nothing to stop a few Generals from posting a "refusal to follow orders" and getting 200,000 or 500,000 troops to sign it. Not a revolt in the fragging sense, but a revolt is a revolt is ... I think that would be quite fitting, actually.
