Hi Raphael, PhdBase needs a Library, which you normally find as PHDBASE.FLL (on the original disk it is saved as phdbase.v50). Set this before opening your files. I'm not sure if there is a VFP9 compatible FLL, my archives only show a VFP5 compatible version.

I just inherited an old vfp5 program that needs to be updated to VFP9, adding new routines to enhance performance and migrate the dbf's to sql server. I encountered some dbfs that have an additional file with a phd extension which I believe is generated by a program that facilitates text searches in memo files. I try to open the dbf but vfp9 says that it can't find the phd file, even though the dbf, its cdx and phd files are in the same folder. I tried to set tablevalidate to 0, set exclusive on but to no avail How can I open those dbf's?
