Hi Bob Many thanks for your reply - much appreciated. However, as I pointed out in an earlier e-mail, most of these product key finders work up to an including Office 2013. Thereafter Microsoft changed certain aspects of their installation so as to leave only the last five characters of the product key behind (in the registry or anywhere else). Indeed Belarc Advisor makes specific mention of the fact that their product will not return the full product key for Office versions after Office 2013. From the Belarc Advisor report there is a footnote as follows:
f. The full product key is not stored on this computer. However, the characters shown uniquely identify your product key. Not sure if it would know how to handle 2016. https://www.lifewire.com/licensecrawler-review-2625097 http://www.klinzmann.name/licensecrawler.htm Hope this helps, -- Bob Sullivan _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: ProFox@leafe.com Subscription Maintenance: https://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: https://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: https://leafe.com/archives This message: https://leafe.com/archives/byMID/sn1pr02mb374305fca92b1fa2bd01519ca1...@sn1pr02mb3743.namprd02.prod.outlook.com ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
