I will pull the source code from the repo myself and see if I get this
same error. If I do, I will push new binaries to the repo to make sure
anyone who pulls to code can compile it.

repo. Next simplest is it's hosed in the repo itself. I think Matt lurks here

The repo contains the app so you don't really need to build it unless you're
trying to enhance in some way?
