I was a little hasty in my response (see previous post which pre-empted yours) 
and stand corrected.

As stated I did some work interfacing C++ into VFP 7 but is was a lifetime ago 
... or seems like that!

Even the thought of it brings shudders to my spine.

To use the header file and create a compiled library, you need:

   - The header file Pro_ext.h. You can print this file to see the function
   declarations, typedefs, and structs used in the Visual FoxPro API.
   - The file Winapims.lib.

Both of these files are installed in the API subdirectory when you install 
Visual FoxPro.

Nothing fishy there.
