Surely two sides of the same coin: A store that closes because
customer choose to shop elsewhere can blame their customers, the
economy, their wares, or their selling ability. Few choose the last.

Microsoft chose not to compete with GitHub. Microsoft's history of
working well with other partners is, to be generous, limited.
Thankfully, it's not the Gates/Ballmer eras any more, so perhaps we'll
see a kinder, gentler Microsoft.
