Thanks - I didn't cd to the Excel folder the first time I tried but I did on
the second attempt and it worked just fine

Cheers

Make sure you open the cmd window in the actual excel folder or cd to the
folder.

Subject: Excel class not registered

Hi all

Whilst testing AssocQueryString I temporarily renamed EXCEL.EXE. When finished
I restored the original name. However, now:
CreateObject('Excel.Application') returns an OLE error code 0x80040154: Class
not registered.

Any suggestions welcome. Thanks

Paul Newton
