I use both. I have a chromebook, which I absolutely love! I remote into my development computer and do everything "locally" where ever I am. I use the Google calendar in my applications. I use Google Hangouts for messging with my wife and with some customers. I don't use Gmail though. I do, however, use Firefox when I am remoting. So I guess my answer to your question is that I use Firefox for my browser.

I use Firefox for all my browsing. For me it is the easiest to use. They don't change the interface with each update (IE). It's just the best browser for my needs. I also use Google search for my search engine. But use Duck Duck Go if I want to search without the Google "weighting" of results.

When I log into corporate networks I have to use IE. I really don't like using IE at all. It defaults to Bing and it is terribly slow.

That's my take on it.
