Hey Jeff - I feel your pain! When I bought this refurb laptop - and it started
up w/Win8.1 - I immediately felt frustrated. The whole main interface acts as
though it AssUMes you have a touch screen. Just totally annoying!

So - when I got the laptop - I put the question to the forum here - and I
learned about an Add-On I had to download & install to get the old type
interface back. I suspect that's what you did also. Am I right? If so - I think
there is a start menu option for that SW you installed. Otherwise, look on your
HD for that SW install - and I think there may be a Readme or Help doc included
- which might help you out with your problem!

Just a WAG here...

Subject: [NF] Start Menu

When I click on my Windows 8.1 machine start button I have been getting a
traditional start button. I pressed something by accident that shows tiles when
I hit the start button. I googled it and did not find anything useful. Anyone
know how to get my traditional start functionality back again?
TIA
