Thanks for info, I have downloaded runasservice and dotnet and am working on
pogram now I'm worried about notifying user when alarm fires. From what I
have read here I think I cannot display message on screen.

A Windows service is what they're called these days. You can't create one
natively in VFP, but you can create a normal VFP exe and then use a
third-party util called 'runasservice' to install it as a service.Sort of
kludgy,but should work. Alternatively you can run a normal exe on a schedule
using the server scheduler.
