OK - am trying this again. I posted last night from home - but, message did NOT appear - even by this morning. And, I even checked the Archive just now - and it's not there. So - here goes...
The daughter of my buddy has a homework assignment report she was writing up in Word. I believe it's like 2003 version. She tried to open the Doc last night - and its corrupted. Since the Doc has a docx extension - I figured that it's really XML based - and thought I could load it up in IE - since I know that IE can open XML type files. But, alas - that failed.
