I took a look at this and it seems the fix is intended for workstations. Funny thing is I have no problem with workstations calling data on the server. The issue is the server itself running an exe which does work with the server data. But the server data is not a problem either as it is not deleted. The problem is a temp file used to consolidate data. Use it once and its fine, but use it more in quick succession and it fails. Because it does not close the used file in time for the delete. I proved this by putting in a user set wait, 5 seconds as a test, and the problem went away. Anyway the final line is alaska software SMB2 fix is not for the same issue. Plus they supply it for own users so not sure about the legality of its use.
