If you want to be CERTAIN that you are getting a new data file on
disk/in memory disconnected from the original source, you can:
(1) change the structure by adding a field not in the original source,
even a .t. as dummyfield, to the field list.
(2) use READWRITE or NOFILTER, depending on your needs
(3) specify an INTO TABLE result.
Thank you Ted for clarifying that it's more complicated than I
thought. I'll see what, if anything, my modified logging system
reveals and then see if I need to modify some of these queries.
Whew. A lot of nit-picky discussion on a fine point.
It takes a fine point to split nanoseconds.
