It looks like the same keys are used for all MSDN subscribers, as opposed to a Gil Hale set of License Key Codes being different from an Ed Leafe set of License Key Codes. This was an issue a few years back when I found an MSDN subscriber was installing MSDN licensed software on PCs he was building, then selling the PCs with complete O/S and lots of M$ applications far below anything anyone else could offer. This particular guy is a disbarred attorney (little wonder, eh?) who was screwing over honest business owners buying his equipment, and screwing competive PC builders trying to build custom PCs and compete against his offerings for Client and Server class PCs. Amazing. Anyway, I got a call from a M$ Rep one day, who wanted me to buy into some kind licensing schema for my clients (essentially a license cash flow scheme good for M$, but not anyone else - Open License perhaps?). I asked about tracking down the various PCs running the MDSN License Key Codes this guy was using, and he said it was not worth M$' time to do anything about such a small operator as they would not be able to prove this one guy was using his MSDN Codes since they are not specific to his account. Truly amazing...
