Ted, The Atom processor is x86 compatible. I have a netbook with an Atom processor and installed the VFP IDE on it. It came with Vista and I later did a clean install of Windows 7.
I tell my techs, if the Windows 8 computer can get to a desktop like you see in Windows 7, it will run VFP programs.
