By the way, PhpED worked great until I tried to go way deep in many levels
of code and it blew up.
Suspect it is better at individual modules rather than a large system like
wordpress

I've not had experience of NuSphere but I have used PHPStorm for debugging
which worked well for me. It has a 30 day trial.
