could be wrong, but I don't think that will work with my host. here is my situation: 1. I'm developing within Wordpress itself by editing the template file 2. I start the process by creating a new template on my windows box, and then ftp the blank template file to my host www.asmallorange.com 3. Then I go into wordpress and edit the file, and test it from there as well
What I would like to get to is: 1. a complete linux environment on my desktop (lamp or whatever it is called with wordpress, php, mysql, ubuntu) 2. This way I can edit my code in a code editor, do my testing, etc as well as my checkins, checkouts from github 3. When it is running right, then I can ftp it to www.asmallorange.com which is my production environment Now if I can do my release from github directly to my webhost, that would eliminate the ftp portion, but I'm not sure that can be done yet.
