All,

The info I've gotten when Googling this error has produced a lot of Microsoft SQL Server info, but none of it seems relevant.
So, I request access to the FoxBorgMind.

I have an app that has been in use for two years without change (the app, not the data). It's VFP 9 SP2, and the backend is MySQL 5.something. Today, for the first time I can recall or find in error logs, I got the following error while executing a "select" statement.

"[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Function sequence error"

No other error info. Nothing has changed in the app or the server config. Just, kinda, out of the blue.

So, my question...is this just a weird unrepeatable alignment of the planets error kind of thing? (and therefore not worth trying to research and resolve)
What the heck does it actually mean?

Any pontification WELCOME!

Thanks!

Mike Copeland
