The files in SYSwow64 are just in the place that the installer places files 
that from 32 bit installations so don't worry about them as windows puts them 
there automatically. The same thing happens if you add a 32 bit ocx activex 
control which would go into windows\system32 on a 32 bit ops system. If you 
update the program pointing the installation program to the folder where the 
javae.exe file is placed then this will do the syswow64 file update 
automatically.

Another thing to look at is where the java runtime is installed in the control 
panel as it is normally a standard install but as I said in my previous post, 
there ate lots of apps that install their own java runtime in their own folders 
but they still look for updates as you have found! I guess they want to be sure 
of a particular release level of java for the apps in question.

That is definitely a problem!  What is javaws.exe?  I have java in a few places 
but program files (x86) and syswow64.  Should I keep both of these?
