I never have, but you may want to check in on the upper limits of the
file systems are.
I know that the ZFS can handle that and more but that's more at home on
BSD but it is finding it's way over to Linux. Again, I don't have any
direct experience.

fulfill your needs, whether it is their systems or other systems.

I have a video security system supplier asking $10,000 (claims it is
his cost) for what I think I can build for $2,500 using Linux and 8 x
4TB drives in a NAS box.
