Yes it does, but you can't get control to see it from the class. It is as
though once the print preview has focus then all global class timers are
suspended until you leave the print preview manually. So chicken and egg...
I haven't investigated thoroughly as of yet but I think this is what is
happening. Any other forms open modal or non modal I can look at when the
timer in the class fires but the preview window just takes control. I
could look at the xsource, which is my next move but just wanted some/any
quick input if people had come across this before.
Thinking more about this:
I have a system that previews the same report for multiple datasets, one at
a time. After the preview window is opened NOWAIT, I pop up a modeless form
that has some buttons on it that let the user take one of several actions
regarding the preview they're looking at. I do this over and over in a
loop. This works fine, so clearly the preview window doesn't have control
of the system at that point.
And the thing I mentioned earlier about WEXIST() also works no matter what
kind of preview window is open. So it doesn't seem to be purely the
pseudo/quasi modal state of the preview window either.
