Sorry I sent this reply initially to your email address rather than the
list by mistake.
I've created a very simple example of some row validation. I have not
gone through all your messages to see if I have fully understood what
you are trying to do but maybe, using this as a starting point, this
will help us to clarify things.
I have put a grid on a form and created a cursor with two fields and
populated this with some data and set this cursor as the recordsource of
the grid.
Field1 must be less than 9 and Field2 must be less than 8. Together,
they cannot total more than 10.
See if this does what you want, if not let me know how it differs or
what the problem is.
