The thing you need to remember about MacBooks, and probably any ultralight windows models as well, is that these machines are pretty much un-upgradable. So, if there is any question that you might need that extra memory, disk, cpu, &c, you will need to get it at the outset. Regarding Apple products specifically, when Apple refurbishes a macbook they will replace the battery and case, so a refurb is as good or better than a new unit. They also come with a standard warranty and are eligible for AppleCare. You can save hundreds of dollars this way. Refurb.me <http://www.refurb.me/us/> has a pretty good tracker for Apple refurbs. jm2c, dt -- Dave Thayer Denver, CO _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/CAAo+qoW3iRJ89zEWUNAW=yMU_+ufg4gERcO=vc_mj+uh8fj...@mail.gmail.com ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
