I found both files in the commons folder of program files. I copied them
to both the home() directory and my app directory
I opened a command window, entered command: foxhhelp9 /regserver and I
got an unknown command error message
Then I opened a DOS command window and registered the dll with regsvr32,
it did not work either
Then I used a utility written by Woody (a German VFP) many years ago.
This utility makes it unnecessary to have the whole VFP installed when
you distribute an application (exe). It installs the dlls in the app
directory and then registers them. The user simply double clicks on the
exe and the app works flawlessly
That finally did the job and I got help working again.
I wonder what went on

Thanks! Unfortunately when I search, I can't find any files named
FOXHHELP9.EXE and DLL.
Waitaminute...checking the info on the WestWind link you sent, it shows
that those two files are supposed to be in the Common Files folder.
Interesting....they are both there, but both have been renamed
FOXHHE~1.EXE
FOXHHE~1.DLL
Curious!
Renamed them, Help works like a champ now! Thanks Bill! Okay, anyone
want to take a stab at how they got renamed??? Pretty bizarre. I wonder
if this is related to problems being caused by my friend, AVAST, and
it's new Sandbox feature...
