And I guess that's why IBM has invested so heavily in Linux, huh? :) Not to mention just about every other computer company on the planet. There used to be a day when software was free, long time ago. I'd even bet you remember those days... <snips> I've been around computers for a long time and can't remember that day. Way back in the day, even before Microsoft took off, we would buy our OS's that came with a rather big price but a nice binder and real printed documentation. Before the PC, there was the mini/mainframe where people paid a LOT of money for software. In fact, up until recently, IBM still made more money selling software than Microsoft. It wasn't the stuff you would see on your PC but from the old licensing model that corp big iron ran on for decades. You wouldn't own anything but pay through the nose on a monthly basis. _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
