Okay, I may not understand your problem, and my solution suggestion may not be the best, but what I would do is... 1. Set a break point in the code, just before (like 1 line before) the report is called.
2. Run the code to the break point.
3. When your app has paused, open the report that has the problem.
4. Use the rightmouse click on the report and select "Preview"

At that point, you should have everything you need to successfully run the report, so if it fails, you'll get an error and the offending object/item on the report will be selected/presented.

At least it does for my development environment (VFP 2 SP2).

Hope this helps.

Hi all,

I'm working on a previous programmer's system, and am getting this error any
time I try to run a certain report. I've looked all through the report at
the variables used, tables used, fields used, etc., and can't seem to find
anything that could be causing it.

Can anyone suggest ideas for what this could be or where in the report form
I should be looking?

Thanks very much,

John
