        Well, like I promised, I didn't do it *across* 10 days - I did it all 
this morning. And I'm still alive.  ;-)

        It was pretty brutal starting out - 7:15am on a Saturday is not my 
prime athletic time. It was also mostly uphill and into the wind for the first 
half - see the elevation graph on that page. This part of Texas is on the edge 
of the Hill Country, which means that there aren't any long, flat stretches; 
you're either climbing up or rolling down a hill. After about the 50th mile 
those climbs really kicked my ass. I'm sure I'll feel them later tonight.

        Anyway, I really wanted to thank all of you who were so generous with 
your donations - you made this possible.
