I suddenly can not post to ProFox. My E-mails apparently get sent just fine, but they never make it to the list. I have E-mailed Ed, but to no avail. No, I have not been blocked by him. I have tried unsubscribing and resubscribing, but that did not work either. Please post this to ProFox for me with the subject "Using Grids": ***** Start of Message ***** Dear Vixens and Reynards: I tried to get into using grids way back in VFP 5 maybe 6, and they just did not have what I needed. I have been using browses which have limitations with validation. This has been lived with but is not ideal. I want to give it another shot now. What changes have been made to them over the years, and how should I get started? Note that I do not use the VFP GUI; I do everything in code. I do have several Hentzenwerke books so pointers to them would be especially useful. And of course, any gotchas to watch for.
My quick comment: I only use grids to DISPLAY data, not for any data-entry or data-edits. No way. I think I got burned on that long ago and said "never again."
