Hey Michael - sorry to hear of your problems.

And - of course - other guys on the list are having fun with this at your
Expense! (BAD Steve - hey - let the guy Cry if he wants to!!!)

Now - I know this whole thing is a total PITA - and, I don't know if this
suggestion of mine will be much help - but, you might want to give it a
thought...

What if you re-wrote your import - so that it did some kind of Test to
confirm if the Import file is in the right format. And, if its not - give
some kind of interface that somehow allows the User to match up - visually -
the data columns incoming - against the data columns in your system. And,
even save this kind of a layout - so that the system remembers it for the
next time - and even allows it to be changed again. This way - Throw the
Ball into your Clients Court - to force THEM to handle the import - and that
THEY Have to do the Extra work each time - but, then - YOU do NOT Have to do
ANY More work in the future for the Import.

Again - its just a Thought - and, may be difficult to implement. But, have
that difficulty ONE Time - and then no more PITA stuff in the future - if
possible!!!

-K-
