Hey Stephen - I didn't say we were going to REWRITE the App - just do some kinda Overhaul to make it run properly under Win8 on a Tablet. As it is - my boss wants to re-write an ENTIRE CRM System - which currently runs like DOS screens (FP 4 DOS) running under Windows - and now he wants to re-write it all to Windows. And, we have Numerous Clients w/highly Customized systems - and he wants us to Convert them. And, this is all besides updating this simple app (for Entry of Sales Orders) to run on a Tablet. Meanwhile - its like he wants it ALL done ASAP - and yet there are only TWO of us programmers - and I am really the only Competent one here who can do Major Dev. & Screen designs!!! So - no way we can Rewrite the whole Sales app to run on Win8 - just Tweak it to make it look right.
However, in the end - if it just looks like TOO MUCH Work - may just have to tell my Boss its NOT Truly Feasible to do! Not like he really listens to me... -K- -----Original Message----- From: ProfoxTech [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Stephen Russell Sent: Tuesday, February 26, 2013 11:34 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: VFP Metro Interface On Tue, Feb 26, 2013 at 9:00 AM, Kurt <[email protected]> wrote: > Hey Dave - regarding this older posting of yours. Then Metro is easy to accomplish today as well as any new presentation type of the future. -- Stephen Russell Sr. Analyst Ring Container Technology Oakland TN 901.246-0159 cell --- StripMime Report -- processed MIME parts --- multipart/alternative text/plain (text body -- kept) text/html --- [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/9EF274B59995477291A8AE5FA6C073A7@Programming2 ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
