Yes but sadly this was while we were still married and no signs of
divorce at that time. They're insane imo. And it's always the ones
with hardly any money who go overboard. I guess we were just raised
differently. (Glad for the job my parents did!)

This comment immediately reminds me of Christmas' past when my kids
would get WAY TOO MANY gifts from all of my ex-wife's relatives. I
mean, it was disgusting. The kids were overwhelmed. They didn't know
what to play with first. What you might think was "a perfect Christmas"
for a kid wasn't. I remember getting maybe 5-7 things and that was more
than plenty. I didn't have the overload that my kids' experienced...and
I was glad for that.
