IM not saying there arent a whole lot of people to blame, but as a health
system, the USA stands as an example of what NOT to do.

Hi Geoff,

There are a number of guilty parties, though, not just doctors. Western MDs
have a monopoly on insurance reimbursement under a law recently passed in
Florida - waiting to be signed. Been a while, he may not sign.

The new law means that Acupuncturists, Chiropractors, Physical Therapists
and Massage Therapists - all of whom have techniques to rehabilitate
accident victims - are unable to be paid. This reduces the supply of
therapists, and bumps the price of "doctors".

Doctors pay HUGE rents for medical offices, and even HUGER rates for
malpractice insurance.

Hospitals never saw a dollar they didn't want, and if it is your rent or
food money - screw you. Insurance companies are notorious for paying their
management "suits" millions for salaries and bonuses.
