Hey, all --- - -

This may be just an intellectual exercise, but here is the deal.

I have an ancient iRiver MP3 player which I keep in my car and play
through the radio.

 -- It is a HDD-based device, with a 20 GB Toshiba MK2004GAL

-- I have no idea what the OS is, probably a lite linux of some kind.

-- I see a Toshiba MK6006GAH 60GB Hard Drive with the same form
factor. The specs on the drives seem to be the same.

What do you think the chances are that I could replace the 20 with the
60? If so, how? (Would I make a disk image of the 20 and port it to
the 60?)

Whadaya think? Good idea or dumb?

Ken
