Hey there Fox gang!

OK - I have an issue here regarding labels. We have these UCC labels
that get printed via various systems of ours. And, now, one of clients
wants to print the labels at their office on the East Coast - and then
send them (as PDF Files) to the West Coast warehouse facility.

The main problem is that we are looking to try and print the labels in
Tandem with the Content Labels. So, for a particular box, you print a
UCC label and a Content label. In some cases - and this is part of we
need to plan for, a single UCC label/box may require multiple Content
labels - depending on what is packed in a Box.

Of course, trying to spit the labels out to a Single PDF file is part of
the problem, and multiple content labels possible for a single box is
just an additional complication.

Needless to say - when they print labels, they will do it for a whole
shipment - and therefore many boxes - sometimes a thousand or more for
BIG Shipments.

Is it possible to print 2 different types of labels, in Tandem - and
send the whole series out to a single PDF file? I thought I saw
something like this discussed in the past on this list. But, the closest
I could find is discussions that revolved around this XFRX stuff (which
we don't have - and I have never used - but, maybe we could buy it for
this project IF ITS Needed!).

So - can it be done in pure VFP - or do I really need some kind of
add-on?

I was also just now wondering about a rather obscure method to do it -
where I generate each PDF - then "Glue" them together with a DOS
command. I know of files being concatenated together this way in the
past - but, not sure what Kind of files. And, maybe it just won't work
w/PDF files.

Sorry to be long winded - but, I can sure use the insights...

Thanks,

 -K-
