When the app starts it reads paths from various text files. This means I can change these paths to allow me to use my testing data set (the default) or a restored copy of the data on my C drive (useful for looking at data for a specific date). I can also set it to use LIVE data. When you have a problem that is not easy to replicate with your test data you can step through the problem using live data. The source code stays in the same place but you can run any data set.
A word of caution though: I have nag screens set up so that I am constantly reminded that I am working with live data. Been bitten by that one before :-) If you want any more details let me know.
