JES was just one example off the top, Bill. The list goes on. Tools like
Omegamon, which gave me complete inspection/control over everything
running in the environment, and Epilog which made historical analysis of
operations and performance turning easy.

Then there's HSM which uses disk and tape cartridges/robotics to make
virtually unlimited on-line storage available. Then there's VTAM, which
controls the network. Like JES, VTAM has a whole language.
Then, actually first on the list, but I've already talked about it too
much, there's SMP, which puts systems management in a whole different
perspective.

I appreciate the *nix stuff, but so long as Windows has the lions share
of the installed base, it just doesn't make any sense to me to consider
for the work I'm doing.

Agreed! I've been keeping my website alive just as a placeholder pending
completion of the FPD->VFP re-write, so I don't want to advertise or
promote it right now.
